Matt is a veteran of the United States Marines Corp.
Matt is a 1996 graduate of University of Delaware and their College of Agriculture. Matt earned his MBA from Wilmington University in 2000.
Following college, Matt worked in the animal health industry. This allowed him to live in Spain and travel the world manufacturing vaccines. In 2007 he made the decision to put down roots again in his hometown of Laurel, DE and began working in the insurance and financial services industry.
Matt has lived and worked with the farming community his entire life, from pitching watermelons and cantaloupes as a kid for local farmers, to helping his father in his chicken houses, to working with successful agribusiness owners now in his financial management practice. He lives in Laurel, DE the town he grew up in with his wife and two sons. In his spare time, he officiates football and enjoys spending time at the beach.
